Abstract: Determination of geometrical parameters of theoretical tooth profile for fine-module ratchet tooth in which the contacting surfaces of the teeth are formed by the straight segments is considered in this paper. The design scheme and equations for determination of the main geometrical parameters of the proposed straight tooth profile are obtained. The effect of module and gradient angle on the theoretical length of teeth straight working surfaces is investigated. The proposed straight tooth profile allows to increase the load capacity and manufacturability of ratchet tooth.

Abstract: In order to solve the problem of automation electric plating gear surface, the numerical control electric plating machining tool was developed based on open numerical control system. The relative movement and velocity of anode nozzle was controlled by the motion control model. The selection of working solution and the continuous feeding liquid were achieved by use of the digital I/O module. The technological parameters, such as working current, the temperature of plating solution, PH value, and so on, were collected by the module of analog quantity acquisition and stored in the computer. Based on the preliminary experiments, the machine tool was reliable higher and the distribution of plating thickness on the tooth profile surface was uniform. The automatic electric plating technology was realized on the tooth profile surface.

Abstract: The internal and outside tooth profile of the link plate in the new silent chain can simultaneously mesh with the sprocket when the tight side of silent chain is secant with the sprocket pitch circle in the traditional silent chain drive. The root of the outside tooth profile of the new silent chain is made up of the arcs and can mesh with the sprocket in order to reduce friction. Through the investigation on the transmission progress of new silent chain mechanism, the movement trajectory of the chain link and the sprocket is achieved. The result shows that the conjugate meshing, the small polygon action and the meshing friction reducing can be achieved through reasonably designing the tooth profiles of the link plate and the sprocket.

A comparison study on the dynamic contact stress with the involute gear drive is carried out in this work.

Abstract: This paper aims to propose a design method for tooth profiles of spur gears based on given line of action. A simplified derivation of the mathematical model of tooth profiles is introduced according to the meshing theory. Tooth profiles of spur gears, using a parabola as line of action, is established. The result shows that it will be better to control the performances of a gear set by specifying the shape of the line of action rather than specifying tooth profiles of mating gear.

Abstract: In order to solve the flank concave problem of the rotary gear shaving cutter, a new worm type shaving cutter has been manufactured, which will be used on a gear hobbing achieving freedom shaving. And its tooth precision can reach 6-7 level. The main contents includes the worm normal section curve equation of the worm type shaving cutter involutes, the optimization of tooth fitting error and the linear fitting of the tooth curve of the normal section by the MATLAB genetic algorithm toolbox. According to GB/T6084-2001 hob series standard, the results showed that the error theory is less than 1/6 of the AA level.

Abstract: According to the generating method theory, noncircular gear with all convex pitch curve can be processed by generating, author designed noncircular gear tooth profile, described a method of precisely calculating noncircular gear tooth profile. And proposed automatically optimizes the noncircular gear tooth profile meshing curve part separately by the identical rack cutting tool different side envelope. Through rack cutting tool along two gear center of rotation segment deviation pitch curve change modified quantity to avoid tooth undercut, realization nonzero modified. The driving gear and the driven gear tooth profile meshing curve part separately by the identical rack cutting tool different side envelope, guarantees when meshing zero clearance. The noncircular gear machined by this method has been used in real machine, which verifies the feasibility of the method.

Abstract: The machining difficulty of cycloid disk has limited the extensive application of Cycloidal-pin gear planetary mechanism. The conventional machining methods and devices are a main reason. A new method is provided through a 3D software simulation and CNC numerical machining to assure the machining precision of cycloid disk and reduce the machining difficulty. The detail comparisons with old methods are analysized. The modeling and path stimulation are expressed. The NC programs are output. The method can largely reduce the production difficulty of cycloid disk and make high precise cycloidal transmission more accessible.

Abstract: Abstract This paper proposes a new type of internal meshing cycloid rotor pump-Double enveloping cycloid pump. It is characterized by double contact lines between the inner and the outer rotor so that it has outstanding advantages, such as better sealing capacity, higher outlet pressure and volumetric efficiency etc. Based on the brief introduction of the equations of the inner and the outer rotors’ tooth profile, the composition and characteristics of the outer rotor’s tooth profile for the double enveloping cycloid pump are discussed in detail, the calculation method of the normal meshing clearance between the outer rotor and the modified inner rotor is introduced, and the calculation example is given. Result shows that the works in this paper will help to design the new type cycloid rotor pump with high performance.
