Abstract: In this paper, porous silica antireflective thin film with special nanostructure has been successfully established using glass-cover board as a single precursor through a novel chemical etching route. The process mainly involves selective leaching of active component on the surface of glass such as sodium oxide, calcium oxide. The effects of etching time, acid concentration and temperature on the porous silica antireflective thin film were demonstrated. Surface microstructure and optical properties of the porous silica antireflective thin film were characterized in detail by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), UV-visible (UV-Vis) spectroscopy. The results indicate the porous silica antireflective thin film were composed of granular with diameter less than 30nm, and the thickness of film was in the range of 80~100nm. Enhanced transparency (up to 94.6%) was achieved in a wide wavelength range.

Abstract: In this work, GZO thin films were prepared by sol-gel process and spin coating technique. The XRD results showed the preferential c-axis orientation of the crystallites and the presence of the wurite phase of ZnO and it were suggested that the presence of Ga might be changed the d-spacing of ZnO to formation the Ga-doped zinc oxide. The effects of Ga amount on the conductivity and transparency were studied. The electrical resistivity for the GZO film doped 2 at% of Ga could be lowered to be 7.510-3Ω-cm with the calcination temperature was 550°C and hydrogen treatment was conducted in the Ar/H2 (97/3) atmosphere at 500°C. In addition, the optical transmittances of GZO thin films were higher than 90% in visible wavelength region.

Abstract: This paper presents the results of optical characteristics of ITO thin film with different buffer layer thicknesses of SiO2 and Nb2O5 for touch sensor application. SiO2 and Nb2O5 buffer layers were deposited by using RF/DC magnetron sputtering equipment. Buffer layers were inserted between Glass and ITO layer. In order to compare with experimental results, Essential Macleod Program (EMP) was adopted. Based on EMP simulation, [Nb2O5/SiO2/ITO] multi-layered thin film exhibited a high transmittance more than 85% in the visible region. The actual experimental results also showed transmittance more than 85% in the visible region, indicating the simulated results were well matched with experimental ones. The sheet resistance of ITO based film was about 300ohm/sq..

Abstract: This study aims to investigate the difference on transmittance of four systems of dental all-ceramic zirconia materials which are at clinical required thickness,IPS e.max Press used as control.All-ceramic zirconia specimens containing Zenostar,Lava,Cercon and Upcera, are fabricated into discs with 10mm in diameter and 0.5±0.01mm in thickness. The transmittance of disc specimens are measured by using PR2650 spectrophotometer and the measurements are conducted statistical analysis with software SPSS13.Experimental results reveal that the transmittances of four systems of zirconia materials are significantly different.Their transmittances decrease in sequence of IPS e.max Press ,Zenostar,Lava,Cercon and Upcera zirconia.Zenostar and Lava Zirconia, which have good optical effects, possess ideal restorative materials for anterior teeth with higher transmittance.

Abstract: Marine development activities have a great impact on the Marine environment. Laser transmission has been widely used in marine communications and imaging technology. Due to the different proportion of the chemical composition of seawater in each Ocean field, the laser transmission characteristic in seawater is also different. The transmittance has been measured and calculated in a constant transmission distance in this experiment, by four different wavelength lasers and different concentrations of the various chemical components of the seawater. Then the data were analyzed by transmission curve fitting. The conclusion of this experiment is: for relatively pure seawater, the transmission characteristics of blue - green laser is better than the purple or red laser, and green laser transmission characteristics is better than blue laser; for larger impurities seawater such as Tianjin seawater, the transmission characteristics of red laser is better than the other three wavelength laser.

Abstract: In this paper, a screen-printed LaB6 discontinuous film is coated on the MgO protective layer to meet the market for low power requirement of AC PDP. The surface appearance, optical transmittance and conductivity properties of the screen-printed LaB6/MgO double protective film are studied by changing the slurry contents and annealing temperature. It is found that when the mass ratio of LaB6 powder in the printed slurry is 1%, the transmittance of the film is above 90% with excellent insulation properties. The SEM shows that LaB6 particles are randomly distributed on the smooth MgO layer surface and distances among LaB6 islands are at least several micron dimensions. Besides, XRD patterns indicate that when the annealing temperature is 500°C, the LaB6 film exhibits a strong preferred orientation to the (100) plane, which is beneficial to improve the performance of AC PDP.

Abstract: TiO2 sol was doped with SiO2 and modified by adding PEG. Using the sol the self-cleaning antireflective films were prepared with dip-pulling method. Field emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM) test results showed that the TiO2-SiO2 film surface distributed a large number of pores and grooves. The visible spectrophotometer testing found that the transmittance showed a decreasing trend with the increase of TBTT: TEOS ratio. Meanwhile, the photo-catalytic efficiency showed an increase firstly and then decreased with the TBTT: TEOS ratio increasing. When the ratio of TBTT: TEOS was 1:5, the films transmittance and the photo-catalytic efficiency can reach up to 97.1% and 13.5% respectively. The mechanisms on the transmittance and photo-catalytic activity of PEG-modified TiO2-SiO2 films were studied. It was found that PEG-modified TiO2-SiO2 films have higher porosity, transmittance and hydrophilicity than pure TiO2 film. Furthermore, photo-catalytic activity of the TiO2-SiO2 film was enhanced.

Abstract: Transmittance is the key factor to the quality of solar glass. At present visible light transmittance (380-780 nm) and solar direct transmittance (300-2500 nm) were used to evaluate the light transmission property without considering the specificity of solar glass. In this work a new parameter of effective transmittance in the 380-1200 nm region which was consistent with the spectral response range of solar cells was proposed and calculated to evaluate the property. The value of effective transmittance lies between that of visible light transmittance and solar direct transmittance. Using effective transmittance instead could reflect the performance of solar glass on real applications properly.

Abstract: Through the analysis of size composition, ash and other properties of Qidong coal mine, three kinds of coagulants and flocculants are used to do the settlement test. The concentration of coal slime water, the types and effect of flocculant and coagulant on the settling are also studying. The research shows that when the concentration of coal slime water is 50g/L, 75g/L and 100g/L, the best flocculant is APAM whose dosage is respectively 4g/m3, 8g/m3 and 12g/m3, and the optimal coagulant is poly-aluminum whose dosage is respectively 150g/m3, 700g/m3 and 1100g/m3. In addition, the coal slime water flocculation will get a better result if the flocculant is added later than the coagulant.

Abstract: Series of cationic cassia tora gum (CCTG) were synthesized using 3-chloro-2-hydroxypropyl trimethyl ammonium chloride (CHPTAC) as cationic etherifying agent, isopropanol-water solution as dispersing agent, in presence of sodium hydroxide under different reaction conditions. The optimum ratio for preparing the cationic cassia tora gum are that CHPTAC-CTG molar ratio is 0.6:1; NaOH-CHPTAC molar ratio is 1.3:1.The optimum conditions are that reaction temperature is 55°Cand reaction time is 3.5 h. The cold water solubility was improved apparently. The solution transmittance has corresponding relationship with the nitrogen content (N%) in the certain range, and the maximum transmittance is up to 87.2%. N% increased with the increase of reaction time and stable N% can be obtained in shorter reaction time at higher reaction temperature. The products were characterized by 13C-NMR. The heat resistance of CTG and CCTG were analyzed.
