Abstract: Magnesium Oxide (MgO) thin films were deposited on SiO2/Si substrate by electron beam evaporation. The properties of MgO thin film with and without oxygen partial pressure have been investigated by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), Reflection Electron Energy Loss Spectroscopy (REELS), and Ultra-Violet Photoemission Spectroscopy (UPS). The XPS was used to investigate the chemical state of the film. REELS spectra revealed that MgO thin films deposited under oxygen partial pressure had band gaps of 6.07 eV. Meanwhile, the band gap for MgO thin films grown without oxygen partial pressure was 7.17 eV. The UPS results showed that the work functions of MgO thin film with and without oxygen partial pressure are 4.75 and 4.84 eV, respectively. In the MgO thin film with oxygen partial pressure, the intensity for the valence band peak at 12.16 eV decreased, but the work function remained relatively the same. Our results demonstrated that the oxygen partial pressure played a crucial role in improving the electronic properties of MgO thin films.

Abstract: As an important application area of field-bus system, UPS require high reliability and real-time property. Standard CAN protocol in application layer have not been proposed in home and abroad. Based on CAN-bus 2.0 A/B, this paper designed UPS-CAN protocol which conform to general UPS parallel system and proposed a novel network management system (MSN) during development of module UPS parallel system. Experimental results proved the reliability and real-time property of UPS-CAN which meets the requirement of UPS parallel communication system.

Abstract: Regarding the AC UPS fault accident happened in one compressor station which caused severe consequence with gas transmission pipeline, this paper lists the possible reasons based on the recorded fault code and equipment configuration, and solutions are proposed for modification. In the end, recommendations are given for the future project design of AC UPS.

Abstract: A composite control strategy is proposed based on the repetitive control and deadbeat control in the ups inverter control system, according to the features of the non-static error track of repetitive control and the deadbeat control’s fast response and high precision control. Repetitive control can be very good to eliminate periodic disturbance, and deadbeat control to reduce the overshoot and oscillation, when the system is subject to greater disturbance, that can improve the dynamic performance of the system. Simulation results show that it has a fast transient response, high accuracy, THD and other small features.

Abstract: UPS (Uninterrupted power supply) is a basis for the observation equipments, and its reliability play a decisive role for the all tasks. Most of the observation stations are unattended, and their distribution is dispersive. So the maintenance of UPS is tedious and complicated, and it is difficult to achieve unified management and effective maintenance. In response to this situation, this paper proposes a UPS remote intelligent monitoring program. Through the monitoring data collection, remote data transmission, data output display and the control command transfer, this program can monitor the power supply capacity, load conditions and working status in the real-time, and achieve the function of automatic alarm and remote switch control. It completely changes the traditional decentralized management model and improves the level of scientific management of the UPS.

Abstract: The electronic structure and phase stability of the Zr-Ni-Al ternary glassy alloys, have
been systematically investigated experimentally and theoretically. Thermal stability and
crystallization process have been clarified by the DSC and XRD measurements. Composition
dependence of the stability parameter; Tg/Tl has been clarified. The electronic structure around the
Fermi level has been investigated by using the high resolution UPS. It is found that there is a
sizable pseudogap at the Fermi level of the electronic structure of the Zr65Ni20Al15 glassy alloy.
The DVXα calculations for the charateristic clusters in the Zr-Ni-Al glassy alloy having high glass
forming ability have been also performed. It is found that these clusters formation reduces the
internal energy and can contribute to the phase stability. The LMTO-ASA band calculations for
the Zr6NiAl2 compound which is the most relevant compound to the Zr60Ni25Al15 glassy alloy have
been also performed. It is found that there is a sizable pseudogap at the Fermi level in its
electronic structure, suggesting exiting of the pseudogap of the glassy alloy.
