Abstract: According to the limitations of desk microwave power measurement instruments used in system setup and product line field, a brand new minisize power measurement design based on USB interface is proposed. Firstly, the design principles of analog channel, digital signal processing and the USB interface for the power sensor is introduced. Then the design fundamental of the USB communication to the host is presented. The vivid implementation of the software on the DSP, USB firmware and the PC host is fully discussed. This design features small size, light weight and programmable USB interface, which supports the Interchangeable Virtual Instruments (IVI) driver and thus simplifies the program procedure. The PC based platform allows for lower cost than traditional power meters and power sensors, and with a laptop PC it is ideal for field portable power measurement and remote multi-channel monitoring applications using all kinds of USB hubs.

Abstract: The paper selected reasonable sensitive parameters for detecting and designed environment multi-parameters recorder with MSP430 SCM, which is the core of the recorder. It can realize to test, display, and store data in the Nonvolatile Ferroelectric Random Access Memory FM31256, even if the power of the system is shut off, the data does not lose. Utilizing Multi-parameters recorder, it can measure strength of four kinds of environment parameters, which include temperature, humidity, illumination and the concentration of carbon dioxide at the same time, and also can detect one kind parameter in four kinds of parameters. Using the interface chip CH375 which supported USB host-device mode, it can communicate with flash memory disk or PC, conveniences the using for different people in different situations.

Abstract: The grinding wheel wear status is an important guarantee for the processing efficiency and processing quality of precision and super precision grinding. In this paper, a USB acoustic emission signal acquisition system is designed for online monitoring of grinding wheel status. In the system, CPLD is used as the controller, and a high-speed A/D converter is used to implement the synchronous acquisition of acoustic emission array signals. The collected data are sent into FIFO, and CY7C68013A is used for USB data transmission with upper computer. The sampling frequency of the system can be 10 MHz, and USB transmission speed can reach 40M/S. It is proved that it can meet the monitoring requirements of grinding wheel wear status well by the grinding processing.

Abstract: Corrosion rate in measuring metal corrosion by electrochemical sensors measuring speed, through the internal chip processed data to the screen, the traditional method of communication with the host computer is using RS232 or RS485 interface does not have hot swappable and Plug features used, storage capacity is also limited. To solve this problem, the device USB-interface to communicate with the host computer and realized the hot swap and plug and play function, memory is extended and improve equipment storage capacity, the design of PC applications that facilitates the user. Experimental results show that the system has good stability, easy operation, greatly increased the use of the instrument, a bright future.

Abstract: The article develops a vision based auto-recharging system for mobile robots, and programs a new docking processing to enhance successful rate. The system contains a docking station and a mobile robot. The docking station contains a docking structure, a control device, a charger and a detection device and a wireless RF interface. The mobile robot contains a power detection module (voltage and current), an auto-switch, a wireless RF interface, a control system and a camera. The docking structure is designed with one active degree of freedom and two passive degrees of freedom. The active degree of freedom can move forward to contact the recharging connect points that are arranged in the mobile robot. The two passive degrees of freedom can rotation in the Z-axis and use compression spring moving on various docking condition. In image processing, the mobile robot uses a webcam to capture the real-time image; and transmits the image signal to the computer via USB interface, and uses Otsu algorithm to recognize the position of the docking station. In the experiment results, the system had been successfully guided the mobile robot moving to the docking station using the proposed method.
