Abstract: High hardness surface coating sphere components are widely used in metal sealing ball valves. The spherical surface grinding texture influences the valve’s tribological performances such as friction, lubrication and wear of interacting surfaces. It can be used to develop the index of grinding parameter optimization. In this paper, based on the discussion of sphere generating grinding methods, the surface grinding texture is quantitatively analyzed. The space trajectory of abrasive particles during sphere grinding is studied. The trajectory mathematical models are built based on two kinds of sphere grinding manners and are verified by comparing the theoretical results against experimental measurements. The influence of grinding parameters on the texture is analyzed. Texture density are defined to quantitatively describe the surface texture. The relationship between grinding texture and ball valve performance is finally discussed. The conclusions can help to optimize the spherical surface grinding process.

Abstract: Take water hydraulic slide valve core as the research object. Laser surface texturing (LST) technology was used to improve the valve core carrying capacity and hydrodynamic lubrication characteristics, which can process micro-texture on the surface of the core. And CFD method was taken to calculate flow field of smooth and laser surface texturing core respectively. For studying the influence of valve core micro-texture and valve core overlap lengths on hydrodynamic lubrication characteristic and carrying capacity of the core, core surface pressure distribution, surface pressure and friction force curves were drawn. Results show: The smooth valve core does not produce hydrodynamic lubrication effect, but textured valve core can bring the oil film load capacity, so as to make the effect of mixed friction between valve core and sleeve weaken. And along with the decrease of the core overlap length, the carrying capacity on the surface of the textured valve core does not decrease but increase when the valve core overlap length amount is greater than 2.5mm.The results provide important theoretical reference of studying and applying LST process technology to the valve core friction pair’s lubrication performance.

Abstract: Distributing valve is the key component of underwater hydraulic breaker, and the theoretical analysis of it is very necessary. Through the flow analysis of the conical valve core, the cone angle of the conical valve core has been determined, the design parameters of distributing valve have been verified. According to the force balance equation of the conical valve core and distributing valve core, the corresponding simulation research and analysis have been done for this distributing valve, the rationality of the design has been further verified. According to the knowledge of hydraulic breaker, valve mouth flow and force analysis, the various analysis and validation of distributing valve of breaker have been done, the rationality of design has been checked, and the analysis method can be adopted in studies of this area.

Abstract: The paper reports an experimental study on the effect of honing parameters on the honing surface roughness, material removal rate and surface topography. A cylindrical honing machine was developed, on which the honing experiments for stainless steel cylinder parts were performed with different honing parameters including the abrasives and its grit size of honing stones, honing pressure and honing time. The results can provide helpful instruction to the determination of the honing process and parameters.
