Abstract: The Scramjet performance of air-breathing hypersonic vehicle is highly correlated with flight height, Mach and angle of attack (AOA). The violent disturbance of the AOA can cause the engine power off. Consequently the maneuverability of hypersonic vehicle is strictly limited in the phase of cruise. A composite Control system for an air-breathing hypersonic vehicle is presented. The hypersonic vehicle has a configuration with tail control rudders and a set of deflectable wings installed nearby the center of gravity. During the phase of cruise, the precision of AOA is achieved by deflecting tail rudders, and the maneuverable acceleration command is tracked by deflecting wings. A linear quadratic (LQ) track control algorithm with integrator is used to design the composite control system. Simulation results demonstrate that the composite control system has good performance in tracking AOA and acceleration command by respective deflection in cruise.

Abstract: The traffic control problem is a hot issue in recent years. We investigate the effectiveness of three traffic rules in assuring safety and improve traffic flow. We utilize a cellular automata method of traffic flow to investigate and simulate the vehicle performance and use a linear weighting approach to weigh safety and traffic flow comprehensively. We establish overtaking models of a two-lane freeway on the basis of the stochastic traffic cellular automaton (STCA) model. Using the cellular automata method, we simulate the relationships between the traffic flows, the average vehicle velocity, and the vehicle density. We propose two new traffic rules, which in the premise of ensuring safety and improve traffic flow.

Abstract: To reveal the fault occurrence regularity during actual operation of transport vehicle, based on reliability, maintainability and optimization theory and method, and by the the technical means such as large sample testing, mathematical modeling and multivariate data analysis, after several years of follow-up research, we found that the occurrence of vehicle failts obey Weibull distribution, and given specific failt rate functions. Accordingly, we established a corresponding optimal mathematical model of vehicle maintenance cycle, and got the optimal solution of the model. The results of special organized verify test shows that the model solution is accurate and reliable. If transport vehicles perform the optimal vehicle maintenance cycle, the lowest unit mileage cost of vehicle detection, diagnosis and maintenance would be got.

Abstract: Based upon the designed cylinder type structure of electromagnetic linear actuator for vehicle active suspension, the drive circuit of the tubular electromagnetic linear actuator and the dead zone unit were designed. By the AutoBox dSPACE control system and the intelligent power module IPM, the main power circuit was built up, and the simple test platform was also built up. Through the test platform, the square wave force and triangle wave force experiments were tested. Through the test, it shows that the drive circuit design of the electromagnetic actuator is feasible.

Abstract: To explore the impact of New Traffic Law implementing for the driver risk awareness and its relationship with driver behavior, and establish driver's subjective assessment model of risk awareness. This study established risk awareness subjective evaluation model. Driving behaviors and driver risk awareness have a linear relationship according to the regression analysis. There was a significant negative correlation between risk tolerance and the driver behavior. The results showed that the overall level of the driver risk awareness is low. It suggests that New Traffic Law may have effects on improving the driver risk awareness. Subjective evaluation model can be used to assess the level of driver risk awareness in the future.

Abstract: In this paper, a solution for the simulation and control of the vehicles movement in the case of performing the overtaking procedures is proposed. In order to design the simulation system, the mathematical modeling of the vehicle movement is made, the obtained model being based on the state space representation. Also, the real-time working of the simulator is based both on the information obtained through the usage of a communication network between the vehicles and of the GPS-measured position. The main advantage of the proposed system consists in assisting the driver to perform a correct and a safe overtaking. Another original element presented in this paper is the including of the vehicle movement model in a control structure, resulting the possibility that the overtaking to be performed with a higher efficiency. The mathematical model, respectively the simulation system were tested and validated through some simulations associated to an overtaking scenario, simulations presented in this paper, too.

Abstract: At the design stage of complex systems we often have to address a requirement for prediction of the final dependability characterized by the system availability. One of possible solutions is an estimate based on known or estimated level of availability of single sub-systems. This approach has been used in modernization of a weapon system, when a requirement to predict the availability of new design of the system occurred. The article contains a brief survey of results achieved in solving presented problem.

Abstract: This paper deals with a detection of persons in closed areas. After a brief overview and providing a background the author focuses on the latest tools, which are available and on two examples explains the use of infrared spectrometry to arrive at the results. He points out the objectivity and rationality of the measuring outcomes as well as its commercial availability, simple control, relatively good price and the weight of the CO2 measuring instruments. The method described in the article has been neglected and is not used in the present time for a detection of humans located in closed areas although it can be easily used for human detection in the fight against terrorism, organized crime, detection of hidden immigrants but also for searching the involuntarily trapped people (earthquake, avalanche), too. It is necessary to produce the bleeder probe for air taking from the closed space for the implementation of this method to the practice. It is also important to notice, that the closed object air could be polluted by the pollutants from the external environment (e. g. from exhalation from the fossil fuel burning) and from the exhalations, which can transpire from the interior material (e. g. phthalates, formaldehydes) as suggested in the article. That is why the author recommends dealing more with this topic, including a closer co-operation with car makers, research laboratories and medical organizations.

Abstract: The new energy electric bus has already been used for many years; however, it is also not strange that there are problems in the actual operation process. Base on the running status of new energy vehicles during the early stage, this article provides some opinions on problems of using electrically driven compressor, which is mainly stated oil carryover and vibration noise of several kinds of electrically driven compressor and enumerated the partial performance of the compressors. After all, the behavior of compressor will not only directly affect the braking safety performance, but also had a greater influence on the Sequential maintenance costs.
