Abstract: We present in this work a numerical study of a ventilation system in a room with two openings in the ceiling and a floor heating indicated by constant heat temperature. The double population thermal lattice Boltzmann method is used, with nine velocities model D2Q9 for the dynamic field and a five velocities model D2Q5 for the temperature field. The results are presented in the form of streamlines, temperature contour and velocity profile, and analysed as a function of the Richardson number.

Abstract: The article discusses how to test the functionality of air insulations designed for the floor ventilation in historic buildings and follows on from the previously published articles. A flow analysis is being performed on an object of the City of Zirovnice which has been registered in the list of cultural monuments and was built as a brewery in the years 1589-1592 on the site of an older medieval building. The foundations and external brickwork consist mostly of stone. This article brings new air flow readings. The aim of the article is to analyse in detail the air flow in a specific floor void with the aid of modern CFD programs and experimental measurements using the ALMEMO device.

Abstract: Double skin facade is one of the possible approaches to bioclimatic design. Bright architectural expression is combined with lots of potential natural heating and ventilation of the internal space of buildings. Double skin facade considered as an element of building heating, ventilation, or, finally, as an element of conditioning in the building. The article provides a classification of Double skin facade, analyzes the advantages and disadvantages Double skin facade.

Abstract: By analyzing the ventilation system’s sensitivity and studying the ventilation pipeline model, it puts forward the concept of sensitivity branch and the selection method, i.e. selecting the top 20% branches which have the biggest α value. Sensitivity branch plays an important role in managing the ventilation system efficiently, judging the abnormal wind amount and guiding the construction of new mine alleys.

Abstract: 7-amino-cephalsporanic acid (7-ACA) is the key intermediate of cephalosporin, which has a strong sensitization and explosion hazard. So it seriously affects the worker’s health in the workshop, the environment safety out of the workshop and work safety. The drying workshop of 7-ACA at a pharmaceutical enterprise in Shijiazhuang is investigated and the production process is analyzed, the key places of dust leakage and the causes of dust generation are identified. Combined with the pollution and safety risk in drying workshop, the targeted control measures are taken from the process technology, ventilation system and dust collecting device, which effectively removed the adverse effects from 7-ACA leaking. The study provides a reference for the dust control in similar enterprises.

Abstract: In this paper, the existing methods of ventilation system and smoke control system that used in the underground car parks have been briefly reviewed. Compared to other methods, the impulse ventilation system (IVS) has a lot of advantages, and has great development space in the current. The progresses of research on IVS are summarized, and some key problems (like flow field characteristics, installing parameters of induced fan, influence of space structure to smoke and so on) that have a guiding effect on relevant standard specification are discussed. Some basic principles that followed in the process of layout of IVS are analyzed.

Abstract: Dust control in an enclosed mine environment is a fundamental key to personnel safety for boosting personnel productivity and enhancing successful operation, hence the need to design a dust control equipment to meet this crucial requirement. A laboratory-scale local exhaust ventilating system for the control of airborne dust in an enclosed mine environment was designed and fabricated. The design was carried out by considering various design criteria required for a well-ventilated enclosed mine environment. Material selection of the components was done by taking into cognisance the physical characteristics of the targeted dust. The system designed was fabricated and then test-ran with dry dust laden air stream in order to determine its cleaning efficiency with respect to variation in fan speed and dust grain size. It was observed that the cleaning efficiency of the machine was high at a higher fan speed and low grain sizes. The cleaning efficiency ranged from (63.9-44.0)% for dust particle sizes ranging from (62.5-125) to (1000-2000) μm with a mean fan suction of 0.958Pa. Thus, with this system, improved cleaning of dry dust-laden enclosed mine workplace could be achieved with increased rate of suction of smaller particle-sized dust.

Abstract: According to the production requirements and arrangements of 1930 coal, Third District pedestrian mountains and Third District return airway were communicated. And the ways that adding appropriate resistance in the mining area return air route, continue to increase resistance in the +1944m horizontal transport Shimen, taking iron damper instead of wood damper, adjusting the Third District wind turbine operating parameters, removing the temporary damper of the Second District 6# main transport roadway and so on were integrated optimization. The Third District ventilation system was formed. Meanwhile the ventilation system design experience and recommendation were summarized. The mine ventilation system would be stable and reliable and mine daily production would be safety.

Abstract: With the increasing demands on heating and cooling, ventilation and cleanliness of modern clean plant, one of the most important topics for modern plant is to learn how to effectively control and management the air conditioning system to meet the requirements of production process on the air conditioning system. This article describes the specific circumstances of the air conditioning system in a coating line clean plant, brings up the design ideas and scheme of realizing plant air conditioning micro-positive pressure with network group control, and provides the control strategy of micro-positive pressure. It has been proved that the scheme has high application and promotion value.
