Abstract: Virtual enterprise (VE) is representing the future development trend of enterprise organization mode. This paper introduced the creation process of VE, proposed three phase comprehensive evaluation model based on fuzzy comprehensive evaluation and ant colony algorithm (ACA) for partner selection, gave the evaluation index system model as the evaluation foundation, constructed Service Oriented-Architecture (SOA) based decision support system (DSS) framework in the process of VE establishing and running, and presented the prototype system. Through operating the system, the feasibility of the evaluation model was verified. Finally, the author also gave the development trend and suggestions of VE decision support. This article provided the corresponding theoretical and technical reference for constructing VE.

Abstract: Virtual enterprise (VE) has now become an indispensable way for modern business to cope with the intense market competition. However, the existing construction method of information support platform would not be able to adapt to the development of VE. This paper first analyzed the information demand oriented to the full lifecycle of VE, and then put forward a frame design of the third-party information support platform according to the above information demand, which included the frame of the information support platform, the analysis of layer function and its operation mechanism. Finally we summarized the full paper. The proposed frame is capable of assisting the third-party organizations to implement information support platform fast and dynamically according to different industry background. So it has good application prospect.

Abstract: In competitive and uncertain global business environment, manufacturing enterprises must frequently expand manufacturing capacity to respond effectively and quickly to satisfy customer needs. Outsourcing manufacturing through subcontract is an effective approach for this purpose. This paper presents a process collaboration oriented outsourcing manufacturing execution framework, which integrates the functions of manufacturing execution system (MES)inside enterprise and collaborative manufacturing system across enterprises. With the collaborative working environment based on multi agent system, the framework can support enterprises to establish optimum production schedule with due date constraint, construct virtual enterprise by outsourcing tasks to partner enterprises, and utilize internal and external resources to conduct manufacturing activities with the coordination of workflow system, so as to expand the production capacity and reduce the time to market. A prototype system is implemented and demonstrated with a case study. Introduction

Abstract: Industrial clusters can be found very often in the world, particularly in many developing countries. To build virtual enterprise based on an industrial cluster is one of the most important ways to improve the agility and competitiveness of manufacturing enterprises in the cluster. One of the key factors towards the success of virtual enterprises is the correct selection of cooperative partners in the virtual enterprise. An approach of order allocation and partner selection in the environment of industrial clusters is proposed. This approach is composed of two stages: task-resource matching and quantitative evaluation. In the first stage the potential candidates are identified and in the second stage evolutionary programming is applied to deal with partner selection and order allocation problem. The target function, in which the load rate of candidate enterprise is taken as the main variable, is developed, and a simplified example is used to verify the feasibility of the proposed approach. The result suggests that the proposed model and the algorithm obtain satisfactory solutions.

Abstract: Virtual enterprise and concurrent engineering are two of the most promising business strategies to address global competition. By unifying the concepts of virtual enterprise and concurrent engineering, allied concurrent engineering aims to integrate the engineering activities and resources from different enterprises through enterprise alliances to quickly respond to customer expectations. This paper presents a holonic system framework for engineering data management to support allied concurrent engineering. The framework is designed based on the concepts of holonic systems to reflect the distributed, collaborative, agile, dispersed and heterogeneous natures of allied concurrent engineering processes. In the proposed framework, key elements such as information items, libraries, and information management units etc. are defined as “holons” which have autonomous, cooperative and configurable properties.

Abstract: Multiple factors are required to take into consideration when evaluating the performance of candidates. This paper formulates selecting partners for virtual enterprises as a multi-criteria analysis model, and presents an effective approach by Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Technique for Order Preference by Similarity Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) for solving the problem. A relatively complete database of indicators for different types of candidate is established first. AHP and entropy are simultaneously uesd to weight these indicators. An empirical example is conducted to illustrate the application of this model. The result shows that the approach can reflect the information emitted by the ratios used.

Abstract: With the rapid development of network and information technologies, more and more high-tech enterprises form the alliance of virtual enterprise to advance the competing capacity in the market, but how to improve the running efficiency of virtual enterprise with dynamic features is a very difficult problem. The paper analyzes the organization and operating features of the high-tech virtual enterprise, then presents a new modeling method based on mobile agents for management and running of high-tech virtual enterprise, which can be helpful for the development of it.

Abstract: According to the characteristics of virtual enterprise operating, the multi-agent technology is introduced into virtual enterprise. The management and manufacturing cell of different functions in the virtual enterprise is designed to an independent Agent. The framework of the virtual enterprise is built by the multi-Agent. The operating of the framework of the system is achieved by the development platform JAFMAS of the system of the multi-agent. This concept proposed is not only agreeing with the development direction of the virtual enterprise, but also promote the educational evaluation development for application development of the multi-agent technology.

Abstract: Virtual enterprises not only help to improve the competitiveness of enterprises but also increase the risks that enterprises face. This paper studies the methods and indexes for enterprise risk evaluation and steps of virtual enterprise risk identification and adjustment, constructs a local optimization model and global optimization model of virtual enterprise risk based on minimum risk loss and finally gives a risk control framework of virtual enterprise.
Virtual enterprise is also called virtual organization or dynamic alliance, etc, and it refers to a dynamic alliance of multiple enterprises taking information network technology as support to integrate their respective core competences and resources for catering for fast-changing market opportunities. Virtual enterprise brings advantages of flexibility and quick reaction, etc, but we can not neglect its risks and losses brought by the risks due to uncertainty of external market environment and its complexity and even these risks and losses will lead to its abortion. Under the circumstances, we need to carry out effective identification and control of virtual enterprise risks to ensure the successful establishment and operation of virtual enterprises.

Abstract: To reduce risks of Virtual Enterprise (VE), a novel Distributed Decision Making (DDM) model for VE risk management was presented. This model had two levels, namely, the top-model and the base-model, which described the decision processes of the owner and the partners, respectively. The owner allocated funds to each member of the VE, the partners then selected their own optimal risk control actions to reduce their risks with the constraint given by the allocated budget. When number of members in VE, the number of risk factors and the number of actions increased, the size of the search space would be very huge, the brief solutions of the models are also discussed.
