Abstract: The paper presents application of the mechatronic concept for laboratory test to support a research activity. Laboratory test is taken into account as set of processes for which some number of environmental parameters must be controlled. This paper describes the laboratory stand for investigations of airflow phenomena, where modern data acquisition system is applied to control pressure, temperature and velocity of the air stream. To acquire and process a large number of data, the idea of virtual instruments is introduced to control system. Modern, high-level graphical language was used and the author’s program was developed. The presented solution of the laboratory stand allows increasing the accuracy of measurement, it is possible to observe all necessary parameters as rescaled to standard units and use this information in process steering. All technical solutions applied in the system assume flexibility for changes because of additional sensors, actuators and new signal processing and steering procedures.

Abstract: According to the function, the technical indexes and the cost control etc, we select the embedded control computer and virtual instrument module based on the PXI, and developed the integrated multipurpose instrument calibrating equipment, it realized the field measurement and calibration of the electrical instrument away from the laboratory. The system is designed based on PXI and LabVIEW, it uses virtual instrument technology, automatic control technology and database technology, by combining these functional modules of NI, we realized the calibration of electrical instruments such as digital multimeter, signal generator, oscilloscope and cymometer etc. The system is used integrated design, and it is very flexible, it can be popularized and applied as working standard to troops, factories or schools etc.

Abstract: In this paper,the main study is virtual instrument experimental systems based on reconfigurable computing technology. The system is divided into a computer, the master FPGA,reconfigurable FPGA,and instrumentation port drivers,adopting dynamic and static combination mode,the master FPGA chooses a different download programs to achieve the reconfiguration of slave FPGA;through designing two functional modules of counter and function generator,reconfigurable performance of the virtual system is verified.Modular standard hardware is the hard fundament for virtual instrument. The traditional hardware module is independent entity one by one, which make them inflexible in configuration and large in volume. Depending on the FPGA hardware and reconfigurable computing technology, the function of many instruments can be realized in FPGA. The dynamic configuration can realize new function and reduce the volume of the instruments, which make the function of virtual instrument more powerful and realize the virtual instrument in a real sense.

Abstract: The simulation shows a PPT presentation based on LabVIEW software of NI in this paper. The main VI program can be embed by sub-VI that dynamic simulate the process of PPT presentation, and use ActiveX technology to generate a real PPT document in LabVIEW.The simulation demo program save into the Microsoft PPT documents for easy archiving and other using presentations. The simulation results show PPT presentations be more vivid, making speech clearer.

Abstract: Bearing condition monitoring confronts the most machine users. Diagnostic methods used to include bearing problems represent one of the most important challenges. The scuffing phenomenon initiation of the bearing elements produces an important increase in the vibration level and can be emphasized by the analysis of the bearing friction forces which are the most sensitive indicator of the bearing failure. Commonly used technique for damage detection is the vibration signature analysis that must be carefully utilized in conjunction with the friction torque monitoring through the strain gauges measurements. In order to detect the scuffing onset, the paper presents an experimental setup for the scuffing tests performed on a 7206 ball bearing. A virtual instrument monitoring the friction force respectively the braking torque was created. An accelerometer captures the signal from the bearing outer ring then it is processed using PCI-4451 National Instruments data acquisition board and LabVIEW soft.

Abstract: The SF6 gas is popular used in high voltage switchgear because it has some advantages such as the electrical disruptive strength or the electric light arc quenching capability. This means that the functional safety of the entire system is strongly depend on the density of SF6 gas which is why it must be monitored. This paper presents a design of the on-line monitoring system of the density of SF6 gas of electronic transformer. The monitoring system, which base on Virtual Instrument, enhances both the flexibility of digital signal processing and the computing speed. On the other hand, the software exploitation, debugging and improving are easier, compared with the hardware circuit. The realization with virtual instrument is flexible and with low fabrication costs and shorten the period.

Abstract: Reconfigurable virtual instrument measurement model was put forward based on mobile terminal according to the problem of poor mobility and real-time performance in traditional test system. Research a dynamic communication mode in network space, reconfigurable virtual instrument library was developed in mobile devices which is support Android Operating System, and the networked wireless test was carried on, realized the function of reconfigurable virtual instrument test system on mobile terminal.

Abstract: To evaluate the noise and emissions of combine harvest meet the national standards or not, a noise and emissions testing and analyzing system was developed based on virtual instrument. A high precision digital noise level meter and an opacimeter were connected to a computer via a RS232 cable, and used to detect the noise and emissions of a working combine harvester respectively. A measurement and control software was developed to collect, process and analysis the measured data automatically in real-time, and the experimental data also could be stored and printed when necessary. The analyzed results were shown on the software interface by curves and LED. To verify the stability and reliability of the system, a serial of tests were made with a Xinjiang-2A combine harvester, the results showed that this detection system meet the need of different kinds of practical applications.

Abstract: For backward status of a missile guidance device monitoring methods, developed a set of ground monitoring system based on virtual instrument technology. The system meets the standard test of a certain type of missile guidance device, the data acquisition card and controller of PXI bus as the hardware platform, using LabVIEW as the software development platform, The acquisition of analog signal, video signal and serial communication set in one, it can detect the performance and parameters of the guidance device, and monitoring the flight trajectory of the missile qualitatively. The application results show that the monitoring system is stable and reliable, improve the efficiency and accuracy of monitoring, and has a certain popularization value.

Abstract: Aimed at the disadvantage of the experiment of electromechanical control, such as the high cost of the hardware and the unchangeable experiment, an experimental system based on soft PLC was designed which consists of a personal computer with a CP5611 communication card, CPX terminal, FESTO hydraulic platform and software of soft PLC; it also had human-computer interface programmed by LabVIEW to monitor the system and implement control. This system has advantages of strong universality, good flexibility, low cost and simple development process.
