Abstract: This study explores the required Level of Detail (LOD) in 3D urban models to elicit observation responses similar to those in real spaces. Through experiments involving 30 participants, both real-world and 3D-modeled streetscapes were evaluated using psychological surveys and webcam-based eye-tracking. Results showed that higher model precision generally produced responses closer to those from real environments. However, inconsistencies appeared at higher LODs, likely due to fatigue or equipment limitations. Open horizontal spaces attracted greater attention, suggesting the need for detailed modeling in such zones. While a clear threshold of sufficient detail was not found, the findings highlight the potential of 3D models as substitutes for field observation and the necessity for standardized LOD criteria in urban simulations.

Abstract: In recent years, our province occurs gas and coal dust explosion accident of coal industry producing process frequently. After the accident, rescue personnel can’t go down in time, waste precious rescue time, causing more casualties personnel. To solve this problem, try to design walking mechanism of the underground exploration robot with a strong adaptation to the complex terrain, climbing and crossing barrier ability, we use the software of MATLAB and ADAMS to establish the three-dimensional model of walking mechanism and the disaster area scene and inspect the walking mechanism’s traveling smoothness in the complex terrain. Through the simulation results, we can see that walking mechanism of the underground exploration robot has a good ability to adapt to changes of the ground, effectively regulate the relative balance of the main body of walking mechanism, suitable for explore the environmental information in the underground complex terrain.

Abstract: As the modeling of the solar system is difficult and inaccurate, the 3D modeling of the planets in the solar system is studied by using Java3D technology. To make the revolution of simulated planets meet Kepler's laws while traveling around the sun, an improved approximate algorithm to calculate the optimum angle and the vertex coordinates of each planet is proposed. Using java3D perspective projection technique, the observation coordinate system is determined, and real-time viewpoint setting as well as roaming processing is realized. Through multiple view technique, we can observe the movement of celestial bodies from multiple aspects to obtain vivid simulation effects of planets' behavior in the solar system. Simulation results show that the virtual simulation platform developed based on java3D can improve the accuracy and naturalness of solar system simulation.

Abstract: This paper presents a comprehensive virtual simulation model for CNC systems. The Virtual CNC (VRCNC) has a modular architecture and the special function. It can show movement process and the result, it can also show the effect of different movement mode, the displacement, velocity and acceleration of the process, the rationality of interpolation method and the motion control method. Additional CNC modules can easily be prototyped and integrated to the VRCNC by the user. Various application examples are presented which include building of physical dynamic control model, the prediction of the displacement, velocity and acceleration of the process, and the process of secant instead of curve. It can show closed loop drive dynamics. Detailed experimental verification is presented for each algorithm.

Abstract: For the issue that traditional PLC simulation software can not really simulate motion scenes, in order to allow the PLC program can run in the scene intuitively, and the program is compiled to avoid inadvertently causing the actual operation of the collision, we use a combination of simulation software EON and VC + +, build a simulation platform to make compiled program shown in real time simulation system. It achieves interactive control of EON and VC + +. By writing the industry VGA car program, comparing the results out of the simulation program to verify the practicality of the platform. The results show that it is also applicable to larger and more complex systems.

Abstract: Considering the characteristics and control requirements of assembly line, we develop a virtual simulation system which combines virtual reality and electrical control technology. The system can be used in system monitoring, debugging and staff training. The electrical control program is written by software of Rockwell based on virtual PLC, which realizes the application of velocity curve in linear type and Cosine-linear type on the object of virtual simulation through the RSTestStand software to build 3D virtual simulation model of the automatic assembly system of manipulator. The motion visual effect and monitor curve on the object of virtual simulation can indicate that the control system works well. It can also reduce mechanical arm joint motion and force effectively, through the start and stop, acceleration and deceleration of the manipulator movement and optimization of the speed using cosine timing scheme in uniform conversion.

Abstract: Through the ergonomic analysis module that is based on the CATIA software platform, the virtual human body model is introduced into the rescue cabin digital module of ambulance and thus the virtual man-machine relationship is established; meanwhile, the theories of ergonomics are employed as guidance for the optimization design of rescue cabin so as to probe into how the CATIA-based ergonomic analysis module is applied in product development and design.

Abstract: In view of the current situation of being unable to simulate repair time in virtual maintenance simulation, decomposing the repair process to repair therblig layer, and the new concept of repair therblig standard time is introduced, then developing the repair therblig time auxiliary system used for Jack, which realizes the statistical product repair time in virtual environment. This method provides significant reference value for paralleling maintainability quantitative parameters verification in product development stage.

Abstract: Researched the virtual-actual integrated technology based on the computer simulation test, 3-D NC test platform was mentioned using ′PC+Motion controller′as the core. In the VC++6.0 environment, the MFC series and the GT motion controller dynamic link library was used to realize multi axis linkage control function and 3-D NC control system software was developed. The “” vector control strategy and the SimPowerSystem module library was used to establish the system simulation of PMSM vector control model, Matlab software and InTouch software were used to realize the virtual simulation and associated debugging for control system and mechanical transmission system, the feasibility of numerical control testing platform was verified .
