Abstract: This work deals with the design of fringe capacitance based non-contact type liquid level sensor employing self-compensation feature. The existing capacitive type sensors require additional compensation to overcome the problem of various stray capacitances, specifically due to atmospheric corrosion. This paper emphasizes on the selection of suitable material to accomplish the self-compensation feature in corrosive environment. Rate of attack of corrosion is studied on Copper (Cu) and Aluminium (Al) samples under drizzling environment. Visual Analysis of SEM images of samples exposed for different durations reveal that Al protects itself from the corrosion. Further, performance evaluation of two sensor units with Cu and Al electrodes under the same drizzling environment beside the respective samples indicate that sensor with Al electrodes facilitates the feature of self-compensation in corrosive environment. Further, the sensor is interfaced with Siemens PLC-S200 for liquid threshold level monitoring.

Abstract: The problem of finding bottlenecks in flow networks often appears in real world applicationslike production planning, factory layout, flow related physical approaches and even cyber security. This work introduces intuitive visual mechanisms to enable domain experts and users to visually analyzestable regions of a network and identify critical transitions. Those transitions form a varyingbottleneck front for different configurations of network restraints. To tackle this problem, this workenhances the comparability of different network configurations by utilizing ensemble visualizationtechniques. The effectiveness of this approach is demonstrated by showing how this enables users toevaluate the progress of different bottlenecks and individual regions in a flow network.

Abstract: The sliding movement of barrier landslide is a complex and dynamic process, because of the great effect of seismic action and huge surge. Adopting NURBS-TIN-BRep hybrid data structure and integrating with multi-source geological data, 3D geological model of the Tangjiashan quake dam was rebuild. The instability mechanism of the landslide was analyzed. Applying visualization technology, the whole formation process of the barrier dam, the production and development process of surge were fully and realistically displayed. These results above can help the engineering personnel to understand the whole condition of the Tangjiashan barrier dam. These research can provide some technical support for comprehensive governance scheme.

Abstract: With the popularity of mobile devices, the communication mode based on speech is increasing obviously. The cognitive load of speech interaction is small, and will not always arouse the user's attention, at the same time, it needs a small physical space, but has great amount of interaction information and high interaction efficiency. The challenge Internet speech information service is facing is speech interaction. This paper analyzes four key technologies: the user behavior modeling of speech service in Internet era, multi-channel perception technology in speech interaction, speech information service platform architecture, and visual analysis of speech information. It also presents the development and application prospect of speech interaction.

Abstract: Economic statistics data can exhibit the profiles of social economy phenomenon. With constantly increasing demand for analysis of the statistical data, the statistical departments are urging to find a more effective and easier way to present statistical data to users. This paper takes full advantages of the geospatial characteristics of statistical data and then presents a mixed visual analysis method to implement data process and display statistical data effectively. In order to enhance the visualization results by applying the rules of visual perception, the proposed system combines a variety of visualization techniques and coordinated multiple views together. Through the study of spatial-temporal and multivariate statistical data, users can adopt interactive techniques to further analyze the interested statistical data. The experimental results show that the proposed mixed visualization techniques are easy to discover the variation law of data and offer a fast and convenient visualization and analysis tool for statistical data.

Abstract: This paper deals with representation of scientific references’ data and visual analysis of this data using web based scientific reference management software. The Reference application, is a web based reference management software, that enables easy administration and management of authors and scientific references. Similar web based reference management systems additionally support advanced tools for data visualization and exploration but the downside of this solutions is that they require installation of additional plugins due to the fact that visualization within the web browsers requires advanced graphics capabilities thus limiting the usability of these applications. The Reference application on the other hand introduces a solution for data visualization and exploration that relies on extensive usage of the latest HTML5 web standard featuring support for rich graphic intensive web applications hence forcing maximum usability and compatibility with the modern web browsers. This paper describes the visualization tool within Reference application, its implementation and functionalities.

Abstract: Herringbone wells can effectively increase the exposed area of oil layer, increase reservoir producing degree, and extend the steam swept volume, ultimately to enhance recovery. The result of steam stimulation depends on injection-production parameters. This paper studies the six injection-production parameters including steam quality, steam injection rate, steam injection pressure, soaking time, cyclic steam injection volume and the maximum lifting rate, and considers the interaction among steam quality, steam injection rate and steam injection pressure. Using visual analysis and variance analysis to analyze the test results, the optimal combination of injection-production parameters were obtained, and the various factors were sorted according to their impact on the cumulative oil steam ratio. Research shows that the impact of interaction is not significant. The results of orthogonal numerical test can provide a theoretical guidance for herringbone wells injection-production parameter analysis optimization of steam stimulation in the field, and also have some practical significance.

Abstract: A municipal solid waste treatment method named stacking landfill of garbage block is brought forward. Garbage blocks were made and a series of tests have been carried out by orthogonal tests method in lab. Test results indicate the early compressive strength of garbage blocks increases quickly, and more slowly in the later period. The compressive strength for 3 days curing age is about 40% ~ 45%s of that for 28 days curing age. The compressive strength for 5 days curing age is about 50%~ 60% of that for 28 days curing age. The compressive strength for 7 days curing age is about 60%~70% of that for 28 days curing age. The rank of the influence degree of the accession material to the compressive strength for 5 days curing age was are the mass of cement, the mass of waste type, compressive stress size, the mass of water, the mass of lime. Stacking landfill of garbage blocks differs from traditional landfill disposal which is a new type of classifier ecological landfill method. It can effectively reduce the volume of urban waste, and the waste can easily be stored and disposed.
