Abstract: No.8 Bridge is the site where Yang River flows into Guanting Reservoir. It’s an important guarantee for the water safety of Guanting Reservoir that the water quality meets the standards steadily at No.8 Bridge. Based on the monitoring data from 2006 to 2013, the interannual and annual trends and correlations among DO, NH3-N and COD of Yang River were analyzed. The factors affecting DO were also discussed. The results showed that DO and COD met the fourth-class standard for surface water. NH3-N decreased year by year and its standard-reaching rate ran up to 70% since 2009. DO and COD, NH3-N was negatively correlated, but not significant, indicating that COD and NH3-N were not important factors affecting DO. DO varied along with seasons, autumn (mean 7.47mg /L) > spring (mean 7.35mg /L) > winter (mean 6.95mg /L) > summer (mean 6.35mg /L). Temperature is an important factor affecting DO. The possible impact on water environment of Guanting Reservoir caused by DO decrease should be paid special attention.

Abstract: The similarity in water environment variation course and economic development of the Taihu Lake riverbasin and Japan is analyzed and harnessing countermeasures are introduced. The close relation between economic development and water environment is analyzed. It is suggested that coordinated development policy of “Population-Resources-Environment-Economy” should be adopted. The research results demonstrate that water quality variation trend of the Taihu Lake riverbasin in the period of 1980s-the late 1990s was very similar the that of Japan in the period of 1960s-1980s, the rapid economic development of the Taihu Lake Riverbasin in the 1980s-1990s was similar to that of Japan rapid economic development period of 1960s.-1970s, the economic development level and water environment state of Japan in 1970 was very similar to that of the Taihu Lake Riverbasin in 1998,the economic development and water environment variation of the Taihu Lake riverbasin lags behind 20 plus years than that of Japan. We can infer the present and future situation of the Taihu Lake according to the history and present social-economic and water environment development situation of Japan.

Abstract: The agricultural production in Shandong province is top the list in our country. Available irrigation water has become shorter because quantity of agriculture water use is larger in a part of Shandong, water environment being worse. The contradictory relations between agricultural water and available water resource as well as water environment are analyzed in typical areas, such as groundwater overdraft area, seawater intrusion area and agricultural production areas along the polluted river. The results showed that water resource cannot support the existing mode of agricultural production in these areas. It is suggested to promote agricultural restructuring based on the quantity and quality of the local water resource. Vegetable production bases are moved from Shouguang (in Weifang city of Shandong province, China) to the areas along the Yellow River. The export of vegetables will be reduced. To improve the guarantee degree of water supply, the crop production along the polluted river will be replaced by fast-growing plantation or the surface water irrigation will be changed into exploitation of groundwater. It is suggested to generalize water-saving irrigation system, reduce the amount of agricultural water and improve the utilization efficiency of water resources.

Abstract: For making timely and correct decisions for emergent pollution emergency of the water environment, combined with fuzzy integrated evaluation method, the model for the evaluation of emergency is established. Qinghe river basin is estimated in 3-level fuzzy integrated evaluation from 6 aspects. The results show that the score of emergent pollution emergency of the water environment of Qinghe river assessment is 3.9273,which close to a good level. The capacity of emergency support and emergency response is superior, and the abilities of emergency prevention, emergency decision-making and emergency recovery are relatively general, which should be completed.Emergent pollution emergency of the water environment is affected by many factors, a multi-target integrated evaluation system should be established. At present, the emergent pollution emergency system of water environment in our country still needs to be improved, the construction of which started relatively late, and the evaluation of which is at the exploration stage. To find the existing problems and shortcomings in emergency system of emergent pollution in water environment, the emergency evaluation index system is established, which improve the water environmental pollution emergency system. However, most of the indicators building the index system are qualitative, which has certain fuzziness when being estimated. Meanwhile it exists certain fuzziness when expressing characterizing attributes of the degree of realization and level of most evaluation indicators, and it is difficult to use specific, accurate data for quantitative description, generally it is expressed by fuzzy degree concepts like ‘Excellent, good, medium, qualified, bad’ and so on. Therefore, the emergent pollution of water environment is estimated by fuzzy integrated evaluation method in this paper.

Abstract: Metoprolol (MET) is a common kind of Pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs), which belongs to a new type of organic micropollutants. And conventional water and wastewater treatment technology cannot remove the MET effectively, so it is necessary to adopt nanofiltration technology for advanced treatment. The influence factors on removal of Metoprolol (MET) in water by nanofiltration are mainly investigated in the study. According to the results, the removal rate of MET by nanofiltration all can reach more than 99% with the initial concentration increasing. Then the removal rate of MET by nanofiltration at different pressure values, pH, salt ionic strength conditions are also studied. The results have shown that the removal rate is increasing from 90.0% to about 99.0% while pressure goes up. When pH=5, the removal rate of MET by nanofiltration is slightly increasing. And the removal rate is decreasing from more than 98.0% to more than 92.0% with salt ionic strength increasing.

Abstract: There is a shortage of water resources in china. The amount of water per capita in china is only a quarter amount of the world average per capita. Meanwhile, the water pollution here is very serious. In our country, the economic cost caused by the water pollution is about 40 billion per year. The water pollution accidents have a big influence on the local economic development and the health of people. At the same time, Audit institutions, because of their unique professional advantages, can play a very important role in environmental protection. Thus, Water Environmental Audit is developing gradually acted as a sustained and effective managerial instrument to inspect and supervise the environmental economic activities.

Abstract: The nitrogen (N) balance is studied the spatial and temporal changes of N inputs and outputs in eastern Liao River watershed. Using the social economic and the related hydrological data from 2001 to 2010, the N inputs are quantified from the aspects of fertilizer use, human and animal excreta, atmospheric deposition and biological nitrogen fixation, and the N outputs from the aspects of denitrification, ammonium volatilization, crop harvest. Results indicates that the mean annual N inputs vary from 185.01 ×106kga-1 to 200.68×106kga-1, with a mean value of 192.02×106 kga-1. Diffuse sources shows that chemical N fertilizer constitutes the largest source of total N inputs, accounting for about 50.23%. The mean annual N outputs range from 132.10×106kga-1 to 170.38×106kga-1, and agricultural N output is the maximum output. The large gap between N inputs and outputs results in the high N surplus of 132.10×106 kga-1~170.38×106kga-1, which results in the transfer of N from the terrestrial system to the aquatic system and increasing the risk of water eutrophication.
