Abstract: The need for effective security in residential landscapes and the reduction of energy consumption in connection with home management activities have led to a growing interest in the field of smart home technology. Smart home is an emerging field of technology transforming how people live and interact with their homes. This research develops a smart home automation system with a microcontroller to enhance energy efficiency, safety, and convenience through wireless control of household appliance operations. The system employs two modes of control: manual and automatic. The manual mode offers control and monitoring capabilities through a web application, accessible globally. The automatic mode provides security alerts and intelligent appliance control, minimizing the need for human intervention. The effectiveness of integrating a microcontroller with various sensors and relays for home automation is demonstrated, with a Digital Humidity and Temperature (DHT11) sensor and a Metal Oxide Semiconductor (MQ-5) gas sensor performing reliably with an accuracy rate of nearly 90%, and the light-dependent resistor (LDR) achieving a success rate of over 89%. The energy saving and safety achieved by applying the developed smart home automation system in this study demonstrate the viability of microcontroller-based smart home solutions

Abstract: Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease that has become a serious global health problem. The high prevalence of diabetes mellitus and the lack of public awareness of the risk of diabetes are serious problems. Early detection and prevention of this disease are important. However, early detection is often not optimized. The development of information and communication technology causes the use of technologies such as machine learning and web-based applications to be a potential solution to increase public awareness of the risks and early detection of diabetes mellitus. Therefore, this research develops a web-based diabetes mellitus prediction application using machine learning technology with history and advice features that can be used as a health assistant for the general public regarding their diabetes risk.

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to develop a web application for Cooperative Education. The solutions are to help, guides and gives information for a decision before employability in a Cooperative Education project. The system function helps the student to search an establishment by various criteria, such as area, comfort, welfare, and career or open position, etc. In the testing process, the researchers transferred the Cooperative Education training data to the web database. The data recorded was historical data for 6 academic years, since 2010-2016. In addition, the system allows teachers and students to access, comment and rate their satisfaction. Tools used for data storage and user interface web design was Joomla technology. The database was developed with PHP and handle the administration of MySQL by phpMyAdmin. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of web application for the helper and guide system. A survey was conducted on third-year Cooperative Education students with 30 participants. In addition, we invited the specialist who has the experience in the Cooperative Education to evaluate the web application content and performance. The result shows that this system works properly within the defined scope. The satisfaction result was high (4.20). In summary, the system can work effectively.

Abstract: The paper is aimed at the problematics of environmental simulations as one of the efficient methods of behavioural research for exploring the reactions of respondents to certain environmental settings. It explores the contemporary situation of the development of simulation at different levels within the environment, serving as visualizations of designed spaces, for games and simulation /testing of subjective and objective responses to different environmental stimuli. In our long-term research at the BCDlab, we are focused on body conscious design, which means exploring relationships: body/nervous system and the environment with an aim to design human friendly solutions through spatial design. To gain our own experiences with environmental simulations and their impact, in 2015, the Faculty of Architecture BCDlab, developed an interactive application, BCD-APP, which works as a web interface and also in virtual reality. The paper presents the process of setting research methods and results of the first pilot tests of the app as a research tool, with a small controlled group of respondents. They were confronted with pre-selected settings of materials, colours and surface finishing, and with the setting of their own choice, the subjective and objective physiological reactions (brain waves and respiration) were measured by EEG sensors and evaluated in a Labchart environment.

Abstract: The following paper presents an IT tool for aiding assessment of a safety culture level in an organization in a form of an application, providing fast and easy way to analyze data obtained from questionnaires. Traditional data analysis often turns out to be time-consuming and labor-intensive. To make the process faster, more detailed and to find all the possible links among all the available data there is a need for an IT tool. The presented application has been developed with publicly available and completely free tools and technologies. It is a complete piece of software, fully flexible which can be modified or equipped with new functions (modules). The presented solution eliminates the time consuming process of “copying” data from paper questionnaires, and allows to get information about the safety culture level right after adding a questionnaire to a questionnaire database. The presented tool can function as a mobile questionnaire which can be used in any place with Internet access and to fill it in only a browser is required.

Abstract: Semantic Gap problem is the essence of the SQL Injection Attacks vulnerability in Web applications. Web application loses the semantic information while the SQL statement is constructed dynamically. This paper analyzes the cause of the SQLIA vulnerability. And then it analyzes several suggested techniques, such as the filtering techniques and the static analysis, and points out their drawbacks in the SOLIA prevention, which leads to the conclusion that the key problem for the eradication of SQLIA is to solve the semantic gap problem causing by the unstructured SQL statement in the process of constructing a Web system dynamically.

Abstract: Contrary to high false positives rate of use White-box testing tools for Web application source code security and unable to locate vulnerabilities of use Black-box testing tools for Web application security, propose an effective method for combine White-box and Black-box testing tools of Web applications. This method will put the new technology of “Associated Files Matching Engine” into White-box testing tools, this test result and Black-box test result will be statistical analyzed and combined. Argumentation show, this method reduce the positives rate of White-box test result and be able to locate vulnerabilities where it is in file.

Abstract: Web application has been widely used. So it is urgent to test the security of Web application efficiently to resist various attacks. In this paper, key technologies (detecting framework with plugin, discovering unknown vulnerability and building detection tools integrated by user-defined) are absolutely researched. No matter Web application is running or not, the platform can be dramatically able to discover the vulnerability efficiently to insure their security.

Abstract: This paper studied the traditional supervisory control and data acquisition and investigates what is the most important in pipeline gas management system. Then a novel scheme is proposed for remote control interface on pipeline gas providing management. This scheme introduced GPRS and internet network technology to the traditional supervisory control and data acquisition. The details of System topological structure is given and Remote control interface structure are listed. At last, the system performance is analyzed and the results indicate that pipeline gas management system using remote control interface has the excellent protection performance and operability of RCI. It can meet the demand of intelligent home and intelligent building.
