Abstract: To reduce the impact of irrelevant attributes on clustering results, and improve the importance of relevant attributes to clustering, this paper proposes fuzzy C-means clustering algorithm based on coefficient of variation (CV-FCM). In the algorithm, coefficient of variation is used to weigh attributes so as to assign different weights to each attribute in the data set, and the magnitude of weight is used to express the importance of different attributes to clusters. In addition, for the characteristic of fuzzy C-means clustering algorithm that it is susceptible to initial cluster center value, the method for the selection of initial cluster center based on maximum distance is introduced on the basis of weighted coefficient of variation. The result of the experiment based on real data sets shows that this algorithm can select cluster center effectively, with the clustering result superior to general fuzzy C-means clustering algorithms.

Abstract: Core Vector Machine (CVM) can be used to deal with large data sets by find minimum enclosing ball (MEB), but one drawback is that CVM is very sensitive to the outliers. To tackle this problem, we propose a novel Position Regularized Core Vector Machine (PCVM).In the proposed PCVM, the data points are regularized by assigning a position-based weighting. Experimental results on several benchmark data sets show that the performance of PCVM is much better than CVM.

Abstract: ZigBee wireless networks can be used for locating the objects monitored inside the building, in which the location method based on RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) has a broad range of application. For the complex spatial environment of the building, a three-dimensional localization algorithm will be proposed in this paper which can achieve high accuracy of location, meanwhile mitigate the impact of the RSSI error on the location results efficiently. This method is applicable to the NLOS environment in condition of multi-barrier.

Abstract: Life Cycle Impact Assessment (LCIA) is a phase of the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) in order to quantify various environmental impacts based on the inventory analysis. Weighting although is not the mandatory element of LCIA is the element in which local data becomes important. Potential environmental impacts and the importance of particular impacts can be quite significant among the countries or regions. Determination of the importance degree is possible by weighting of the selected environmental impact categories. Therefore, this study aimed to develop local weighting factors (WFs) by taking the environmental issues into consideration for the building materials produced in Turkey. And 11 environmental impact categories such as global warming, ozone depletion, acidification, photochemical ozone formation, eutrophication, fossil fuel depletion, mineral resource depletion, water depletion, land use, indoor air quality and waste were selected considering environmental impacts caused by the building materials and environmental issues in Turkey. And WFs of these categories for Turkey were determined by using a panel approach. Thus, it can be possible to assess environmental impacts of building materials by using local data.

Abstract: By means of inductive analysis the health diagnosis weighting methods in engineering, this paper discusses the basic principle, advantages, disadvantages and applicable scope of weighting methods. On the basis, combining with multi-level, multi-standard and multi-factor characteristic of hydraulic metal structures health diagnosis, the methods of AHP, information gain, information diffusion and improved entropy are studied, which are applicable to hydraulic metal structures health diagnosis weighting. Based on fuzzy theory, the fuzzy multi-level comprehensive weighting method is put forward and studied, which combined both subjective and objective method advantages and its complementary. In addition, it provides the necessary theory foundation and new ideas for the development of hydraulic metal structure health diagnosis technology.

Abstract: The performance index system weighting of urban water supply was determined by using analytic hierarchy process. Firstly, the water supply performance index system class hierarchy was established, and then the expert scoring was conducted, the judgment matrix established, and the qualitative index quantified. Secondly, the eigenvector analytic hierarchy was sorted, and then, the indicators weights were determined. Therefore, the weight coefficient of index system by analytic hierarchy process is objective and applicable, and lay a good foundation for the performance evaluation.

Abstract: The paper aims to study on the production materials and the quality design of smartphone display stand. Through the consensus opinions provided by experts, the study on identification and material attributes, such as strength, rigidity, toughness, use, value, durability, productive and low cost, of design applications of display stands can be achieved. Then the emphasis on choosing each material toward product design requirement can be understood, and the correct material application principles can also be provided. The mathematics model of GM(h,N) in the grey system theory is used to analyze the weighting of influence factors. Next, the order of importance of material factors can be calculated, which is able to promote the selection of smartphone display stand production materials. Finally, it can be a systematic selection structure to resolve the difficult material design application problems. By using the practical math analysis, the results can be the reference to the study on field in the future.

Abstract: The accuracy and stability of dynamometer diagram measurement are key assessment index for this technology. At present, separator measurement data is mostly taken as comparison benchmark for evaluation of dynamometer diagram measurement in Huabei Oilfield, resulting in large error in comparison. In view of existence of gas, water and pressure, gas/liquid separation of produced fluid is followed by separating measurement of gas and liquid. Gas and liquid mixture are measured by flow meter and weighing method, respectively. Higher precision measurement data is obtained. In combination with PLC programming control, this technology can realize fully automatic and continuous measurement. This device has been applied in 126 wells in Huabei Oilfield. Assisted by dynamometer diagram measurement software, point-to-point calibration and correction method of yield measurement is improved[.

Abstract: The selection of a certain scope angle signal in the traditional method is to switch the hard switches in antennas, this paper proposes a method, which based on a weighting method to filter the signal in certain directions, namely spacial filter. With array antennas, the compositive signal can be acquired, by which the phrase and plus (weighting) of each unit antenna’s signal be adjusted and then the signals be added. In different time, signals can be selected in any scope of directions through adjusting each channels by different weighting. The weighting parameters can be obtained through the analysis of spacial signal and spacial spectrum, and then obtains an appropriate weighting window function. Simulation shows that Hamming window’s weighting is the best among the three representative windows functions. It can obtain a low sidelobe (-44dB) and less rising edge and declining edges. And the paper also give a hardware structure.

Abstract: The water of Shenwo reservoir has been seriously polluted. In order to avoid the inaccurate evaluation results of a single index, the variable fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method has been adopted to comprehensively evaluate the water quality of Shenwo reservoir based on the water quality data of Lan River section of Shenwo reservoir in 2011. The evaluation results have shown that the water quality of Shenwo reservoir belongs to grade Ⅳ, which tends to be grade Ⅲ. The evaluation results based on this approach will be more stable and reliable.
