Abstract: The intelligent online measurement relates to many subjects of optical, mechanical, electronic and computer cutting-edge technology has a very important significance to the production practice. In order to realize rapid detection of automobile wheel hub runout online, convenient access to the car wheels runout error parameters, this paper study and design of the beat error detection system of non-contact measurement technology based on laser, can be achieved online accurately automobile wheel hub runout and axial run out measurement, and products of automatic sorting through analysis of measurement results.

Abstract: The wheel hub detection system produces error inevitably, thus it is necessary to eliminate or reduce such error so that to enhance the measurement precision. Facing the strict requirements on the precision of devices for wheel hub run-out measurement, properties, rules of emerging and contributing factors of such errors were analyzed and results showed that it was necessary to calibrate the laser ranging tester. The input-output relation was learned from the output of such ranging tester too. For non-linear errors emerged, those little errors caused by non-linear issues in actual applications shall be revised so that to reduce detection errors.

Abstract: The article aims to put forward a kind of mold structure and corresponding composite squeeze casting process for large parts. Example will base on an Aluminum alloy wheel hub of heavy-duty tuck. Author analyzes the manufacturing production workflow of the corresponding equipments and the main parameters of process. The composite squeeze casting process can retain the advantages of direct squeeze casting while reduce the probability of inhale and oxidation of molten metal at the same time. It is especially suitable for producing large parts, and has wide applicability.

Abstract: In order to examine whether the wheel hub meet the security requirement during its design stage, the 3D model of a wheel hub was built by UG software, on which strength test of the wheel hub was proceeded based on the simulation experimental conditions , and used finite element method to analyse the wheel hub strength. The analysis results are the basis for modifying and lightening wheel hub.The study demostrates that test simulation and analysis to the wheel hub by computer technology can overcome the shortcomings of traditional experience analogy method in which the strength test only can be done after the product is produced. The method improves working efficiency,shortens the product development cycle, reduces costs.

Abstract: To solve the problems of automotive wheel’ design by using traditional methods, application of finite element analysis in modern automotive wheel design is presented. Then, for example of SU0011-typed aluminum alloy wheel, this paper illustrates in detail the application in its hub structure design, mold design and casting process. By using the ANSYS software, structural design of wheel is optimized according to the CAE results of fatigue strength. In the meanwhile, the casting mold of wheel hub is also designed. Using the ProCAST software, casting process optimization and casting defects elimination can be realized based on simulating the process of filling and solidification of low-pressure casting. Experimental analysis shows that, with the help of finite element analysis, design accuracy and product reliability can be effectively improved and product development cycles can be greatly shorten. So the application has a very good prospect in the automotive industry.

Abstract: It is a difficult problem of surface finishing to the wheel hub. From the structure and finishing request of wheel hub and barrel finishing mechanism, a new technique project for wheel hub finishing is put forward and established. Its finishing mechanism is explained, and theoretic research is done. By analyzing effect factors and their rules, theoretic basis is settled for experimental research and industrial application. The study indicates that this process is very effective for wheel hub finishing.
