Abstract: The structure and working principle of serial-connection 3-chamber PZT pump was introduced, and the output performance of the PZT pump was analyzed under different working modes. The pump was tested, respectively, first with each of the three actuators at different location being actuated solely, and then with random two of the three actuators at different location being actuated (in anti-phase) synchronously. The test results show that changing the driving strategy can change the output performance of the piezoelectric pump, with the structural parameters, working parameters and connection Strategy determined. At a voltage of 150 V, the maximal flowrate and optimal working frequencies for the pump under working mode of left, middle, right chambers actuated solely are 9/7.5/11 ml/min and 260/380/720 Hz respectively. The maximal flowrate and the optimal working frequency for the pump under working mode of left and middle chambers/middle and right chambers actuated synchronously are 17/28 ml/min and 460/600 Hz respectively.

Abstract: This paper is to simplify the keys on the control panel of the numerical control machine and use two keys to replace the traditional multi keys for cyclical selection of the working mode of the numerical control machine. The key signals are linked into the PLC by several signal wires on the control panel for the selection of the working mode, making the design of the panel structure and the signal circuit extremely complicated. This paper proposes the scheme in which there are only two keys “Working Mode +” and “Working Mode –” on the control panel, and works out a corresponding PLC program based on the FANUC system. The program deals with the cyclical selections of all the working modes and a quick entrance to the commonly used mode. The “Double Keys Scheme” reduces the number of keys on the panel, simplifies the control circuit, lowers the manufacturing cost, improves the stability and realizes the shortcut selection of the modes.

Abstract: Industrial product service systems (IPSSs) are special product-service packages used to improve productivity and reduce cost in the life cycle of industrial products, where cost estimation plays a very important role in price making and cost optimization. This paper defines an IPSS for cutting tools and discusses its working modes briefly. A machining process level cost estimation scheme is then proposed for the cutting-tool IPSS. An example has been developed to illustrate the proposed approach.

Abstract: The traditional series working mode can not make the outcome of product design process verified by activities of manufacturing domain in time, and the manufacturing process can not be executed concurrently. The purpose of this paper is to develop a method to solve the problem mentioned above. The connotation of the collaboration between design and manufacturing is studied firstly, and then the design state maturity model (DSMM) is proposed in this paper. Six levels of maturity are defined in this model, and every level can support the collaboration between design and manufacturing in different degree. Based on the design information required in the manufacturing process, the information included in each level is studied and particularized. Finally, the DSMM-based work process of collaboration between design and manufacturing is studied.
