Abstract: The development of worm gear wheel blanks cold extrusion forming technology which can both reduce the manufacturing costs of the worm gear and enhance the Market competitiveness of products .Numerical simulation of cold extrusion forming technology of wheel blank was built by using Qform3D forging simulation software. That is, after the quantitative analysis of the distribution of stress fields and strain fields in the forming technology, determining the technology plan and conducting technology test, then the reasonable and feasible technology is designed. Cold extrusion can avoid the presence of the air gap, shrinkage and other tissue defects in the casting process, meanwhile raw materials can be saved 47% approximately than cutting.

Abstract: The tooth-surfaces of corrected planar double-enveloping worm wheel were established by programming in MATLAB with the theory of spatial engagement. The contact lines were analyzed, and the contact styles were classified with given parameters. A new method of judging the types of contact lines was brought out. Based on the theory of spatial engagement, the re-machined planar double-enveloping worm gear is established by programming with MATLAB software. The contact lines on the worm wheel tooth-surface are analyzed and given the method of the contact line kind judgment.

Abstract: A novel worm wheel transmission error measurement system based on a new space-time subdivision technology is presented in this paper. Non-integer transmission ratio with high precision can be measured with this measurement system. FPGA chip is employed to meet the requirement of high precision and real-time, and USB2.0 meet the requirement of high speed data acquisition and real time data transmission. In addition, precision self-checking is studied with quantitative shifting method, and the experiment method on repeatability test and data processing are studied with dual-observation method. Experiment results prove that this measurement system has high precision and good repeatability.
