Abstract: This article presents the model of the e-manufacturing environment as the multi-agent system. The e-manufacturing system is a joint, multi-dimensional base gathering all required information and providing fast access to data and various analyses needed for a manufacturing control system in a real time. All operations executed at the level of a manufacturing system are related to the appropriate level of a management system, thus it allows synchronizing actions at these areas. Fluent combination of operations realized at various levels of a company system allows to manufacture products of highest quality/reliability with maximum utilization of production resources and maximum adaptation of products basing on actions and decisions made pursuant to actual information from production plant. Applying the multi-agent systems for enterprise manufacturing control system enables automation of many processes which previously required human intervention, such as the inspection and control processes. Creating the environment which enables direct access to all the data coming from the production system and utilization them in a real time leads to a more correct analysis of processes taking place on all levels of the enterprise manufacturing system. Applying the multi-agent technologies significantly accelerates the information flow inside the virtual enterprise.

Abstract: Today’s competition in manufacturing industry depends not just on lean manufacturing but also on the ability to provide customers with total solutions and life-cycle costs for sustainable value. This study therefore proposes an analytic hierarchy model to help the administrators understand the critical risk factors influence the E-manufacturing system initiation, and an aggregative risk degree is indicated which risk grade they are in. The importance weights of risk factors and possible occurrence ratings of four risk grade (high-risk, medium-risk, low-risk and none-risk) are determined by using consistent fuzzy preference relations.
Keywords: E-manufacturing, risk management, fuzzy preference relations.

Abstract: This paper discusses about unprecedented challenges in consequence of globalization and competitive market conditions which manufacturing industries have to face with. Besides changing environmental regulation and social and regional demand, these challenges, will introduce e-manufacturing concept to deal with the recent needs. Manufacturers become more agile and nimble by development of internet. On one hand, it affects differently on the sections of process industries. On the other hand, it makes more demand for products and more opportunities to sell and market the products. To support this new concept, E-Manufacturing enablers will be introduced and finally, developments for next generation are discussed.

Abstract: E-Manufacturing is a new manufacturing concept under current situation. It is the effective enterprise technologies of integrating all kinds of heterogeneous systems from plant floor sources to suppliers and customers by electronic and Web technologies. To achieve this, it needs an information-supporting platform called e-Manufacturing Information Integration Platform, which are the solution facing services. It utilizes Web Services to encapsulate the functions of the basic information systems of manufacturing companies. Those functions become the e-Manufacturing nodes and these e-Manufacturing nodes form an integration platform. At the end, a reference modeling of open e-Manufacturing Integration Platform based on the web services technology is presented. The core concepts of e-Manufacturing Integration Platform are shown. At the same time, the key technologies and implements are researched.

Abstract: To solve dynamic modification consistency of production plan and scheduling for process manufacturing enterprises, firstly the integrated architecture and implementation of e-manufacturing in iron & steel industry is presented. Then the integrated system architecture about administration and management, production process, remote monitoring is built and its characteristics, scheme and concrete design & implementation method are elaborated. The integrated structure effectively realizes information sharing among the sub-systems within process enterprise.

Abstract: This paper presents a customer-centric strategy for e-manufacturing in apparel
industry. This strategy integrates 3D body scanning and 3D visualising techniques to
allow automatic pattern alterations, based not only on human body measurements, but also
on the fabrics’ dynamic properties and features. The 3D virtual try-on integration will
actually present the exact idolised avatar of the customer virtually dressed. Scan data and
patterns will be automatically transferred through ERP web-enabled interfaces direct to the
enterprise’s manufacturing operations and facilities, and will be stored separately for each
customer in order to create its ID profile which will be applicable for future purchases or
reorders.
