Computing and control are increasingly interesting to both academic researchers and managers in the field of mechanics and industrial engineering. It is thus essential to incorporate computing and control into mechanics and industrial engineering from the theoretical viewpoint. This conference provided an idea exchange and discussion forum for the world’s engineers and academics, where internationally recognized researchers and others shared cutting-edge information, addressed the hottest issues in intelligent manufacturing, e-engineering and industrial informatics and explored new technologies and ideas.
Review from Ringgold Inc., ProtoView: Computing, industrial engineering, and technology; control, authorization, and mechanical engineering; and intelligent manufacturing and industrial informatics are the overall themes of the 80 papers. The topics include a new normalized-cut image segmentation algorithm based on watershed transformation, directional pattern versus omni-directional patterns of switched beamform antennas for asymptotic connectivity, measuring and applying point impedance characteristics of violin resonator, complex even processing mechanisms in the Internet of Things and its application in logistics, and numerical simulations of combustion and decombustion processes in pre-calciner with two types of locations of jetting coal pipes.
