Reliability Evaluation of Main Electrical Connection of Substation Based on Graph Theory

The main electrical connection of substation, consisting of transformers, bus bars, circuit breakers, isolating switches and other equipment connected with each other through cables, has an obvious characteristic in dots and lines, so graph theory is reasonable as the analysis method. Based on graph theory, the main electrical connection of substation is converted to the network model with nodes and branches. Connectivity between nodes on behalf of source points and load points is regarded as the reliability criterion, with the overload ability of transformer considered simultaneously. Non-sequential Monte Carlo is used to simulate the condition of equipment in the main electrical connection, along with the states of the system. The reliability of single-bus connection and sectionalized single-bus connection is calculated under given reliability criterion, and the results indicate the feasibility of graph theory method and correctness of the modified reliability criterion.
