Synthesis of Hydroxyapatite Microspheres with Rutin as Template

Hydroxyapatite (HA) microspheres was successfully synthesized through biomimetic method using Ca (NO3)2·4H2O and (NH4)3PO4·3H2O as reagents and Rutin as organic substrate. The different concentration of Rutin had effect on the morphology of HA. Pore structure HA microspheres with diameter of 2μm and uniform distribution can be obtained when the concentration of Rutin was 0.01wt%. HA microspheres had smooth surface when the concentration of the template was increased. And the possible formation mechanism of HA was discussed.
