Optimization of Belt-Type Cylinder Based on Orthogonal FEM Simulated Calculation

In order to improve their stress distribution and service life, the shape of Belt-type cylinders with Φ40.5mm inner diameter is optimized based on the FEM simulation and orthogonal design. The important order of the factors affecting the stress distribution is found out after the orthogonal FEM simulation calculation. The maximum principle stress is reduced and stress distribution is improved. The cylinder’s life is extended while the cost is down.
