An Exploration on Image Detection of Folding Dislocations

Image detection of folding dislocation deviations is explored in order to provide an application base for real-time monitoring of folding process. Various types of folding dislocations are analyzed, the extraction of corresponding corner points and edge lines of a folding dislocation is discussed, and so are some image processing techniques such as determination of the type of a folding dislocation. The image detection process is explained, and is achieved through a software program, which is custom designed in VC++ language. The image detection of folding dislocation deviations is verified, and the results show that the proposed method is feasible and computing time is short, thus it is conducive to real-time monitoring applications.
