Resistance Analysis of Belt Conveyor during Horizontal Turning Section
Force state of belt conveyor during horizontal turning section was researched to improve the design level of belt conveyor with horizontal turning. On this basis,three-dimensional mechanical model describing the force state of conveyor belt during horizontal turning section was built. Then each force acting on conveyor belt was decomposed along principal coordinate direction by coordinate transformation, and the balance equations were established at different coordinate axes directions, respectively. According to the calculation formula of running resistance derived by balance equations, the factors affecting running resistance were analyzed, which can provide theoretical basis for the optimization design of belt conveyor with horizontal turning.
