Structure Design of the New Roller Conveyor

Based on the basic theory of three-phase AC Linear Induction Motor (LIM), this paper has designed a new structure of the roller conveyor. The device mainly consists of three parts, such as rollers, LIM and control-power unit. The roller serves not only as driving and load-bearing mechanism, but also as the secondary structure of LIM. The new roller conveyor is a new structure form of the conveyor, which could convey objects directly by the driving of LIM without the conventional intermediate transmission mechanism. Through the design of electromagnetic calculation procedure to LIM, the paper has determined the structure of primary groove and stamped steel of the LIM, and has designed the integral structure of the new roller conveyor and the concrete structure size of each component.
