CEC Control Model for Wall Thickness Thickening of Tube Ends and Simulation

A control model for wall thickness thickening of the seamless steel tube end was established to multilevel control the unsteady state rolling process of the tube head and tail ends for the wall thickness thickening problem during the stretch reducing process. The three-dimensional thermal coupling calculation model was established of stretch reducing process on the platform MSC.Marc of nonlinear finite element software to analyze the influences of ends control on the wall thickness distribution of the tube. The cut length of the wall thickness thickening segments of tube head and tail were obtained through analyzing the longitudinal wall thickness distribution of the tube head and tail. The research provides an effective means for improving product quality and reducing the cutting loss.
