Preparation and Characterization of Mesporous ZrO2 Particles

Mesporous ZrO2 materials with the average diameter of about 20nm were synthesized by the method of chemical precipitation using cheap inorganic salt of zirconium as feed and ammonium hydrogen carbonate as precipitant. Firstly,we have prepared the zirconium salt precipitation precursor, then distilled the azeotrope and calcinated, finally obtained the ZrO2 powder. X-beam diffraction, nitrogen physisorption, electron microscope and particle-size analyzer were used to characterize the composition, morphology, the aperture distribution, the grain size and phase structure of synthesized products.Most importantly, we have obtained the optimal preparation of mesporous ZrO2.
