Video Compression by Computer and its Application


Article Preview

Future video compression algorithms may employ more adaptability, in this paper, we will focus on the block-based MC/DCT hybrid coding schemes, give a review of the technologies involved in predictive coding, transform coding, quantization and entropy coding, and based on this analyze the development trends and perspectives of video compression, highlighting problems and research directions. The rest of the paper is organized as follows. Development trends and perspectives of video compression analyzed in the following paper, highlighting problems and research directions are also analyzed.
