Analysis to the Whiplash Effect in the Engineering Structure

In the building structure, the quality and stiffness of the outthrust compared are very small compared with the main structure. When k1>> k2, M1 >> M2, and the value of K1 / k2 is approximate the value of M1 / M2, it is prone to whiplash effect. This paper analyzed whiplash effect phenomenon because of various vibration, proposed the measures which should be taken to avoid the whiplash effect.
