Fuzzy Information Axiom in Conceptual Design Scheme Evaluation of Handling Equipments

Applying fuzzy information axiom in product concept design, the evaluation method for design schemes based on fuzzy information axiom was built and the insufficient of estimation in qualitative indexes was overcome. Actual membership function curve was selected conform to different index types, and fuzzy language of qualitative indexes is numerical. Through computing information content of each product scheme, the optimal scheme was selected with the unified metrics. The model was applied in scheme evaluation of handling equipment in stereo garage and its effectiveness was verified. Meanwhile, the optimal design scheme of handling equipment in vertical rotary stereo garage was obtained and the theoretical foundation was provided for handing equipment.
