Electrospinning Synthesis of PLA Fiber Film Containing Antimicrobial Silver Nanorods

Article Preview

Poly (L-lactide) (PLA) fiber film containing silver nanorods were prepared via electrospinning. Morphology of the PLA/Ag fibers and distribution of the silver nanoparticles were characterized. These fibers showed antimicrobial activities against Gram-negative E. coli, because of the presence of a small amount of silver nanorods.
