The effect of radiation defects upon the field and temperature dependences of the magnetic susceptibility of monocrystalline material was studied. A non-linear magnetic-field dependence of the magnetic susceptibility was detected and was attributed to the magnetic ordering of A centres. It was concluded that clusters of these centres, with a local density of the order of 1021/cm3 existed. It was proposed that the so-called diffusion paradox, in the formation of O-containing thermal donors, could be explained in terms of micro-nonuniformities of the spatial distribution of thermal donors and interstitial O.
