A method was described for the determination of ion migration numbers on the basis of permeability data. The latter data were here obtained by using an emf technique. The permeability was equal to 8.66cm2/MPa-s. It was pointed out that the present method could establish the presence of an ionic component of the conductivity for nitrides, and its importance could be estimated for cases where a dense ceramic could not be prepared.
