Dense ceramic samples were studied with regard to the effect of sample thickness, temperature and O partial pressure. It was found that, within the present thickness range (greater than 0.041cm), O permeation was controlled only by bulk diffusion, with activation energies of between 260 and 300kJ/mol. The ionic conductivity, as a function of the O partial pressure, was deduced from the permeability data.
