The structure of the proton-conducting phase was investigated by performing single-crystal neutron diffraction experiments at 470K. Difference Fourier maps of the scattering densities, and various models, were used to localize the positions of light atoms. This permitted a detailed determination to be made of the structure; including the proton sub-system. Evidence was found, concerning various motions of the H atoms, which shed new light on the proton conduction mechanism.
