Electron microscopic observations of deformation twins in particle-hardened samples showed that twin growth occurred via the motion of so-called G-ledges at the twin interface and via the coalescence of fine twins. The G-ledges had a Burgers vector of a/6<112>. Dislocations with an edge nature (90 and a mixed nature (30 were observed. In addition to the G-ledges, so-called C-ledges and pure ledges were observed.
