Preliminary results on dislocation glide systems in as-grown or superplastically deformed β-phase samples were presented. Weak-beam transmission electron microscopic observations were reported for [00▪1]{10▪0} and 1/3<1¯2▪0>{10▪1} glide systems. The superposition of 2 hexagonal networks that were made up of screw dipoles was observed in the basal plane. Constricted-node and partial dislocations were identified in these networks, and clearly indicated the occurrence of dislocation dissociation according to:

1/3<2¯1▪0>  1/3<10▪0> + 1/3<1¯1▪0>
