A model for the simulation of diffusion in multi-phase dispersions was applied to multi-phase diffusion couples at 1200C. All of the simulations were based upon the assumption that the γ phase was continuous throughout the entire diffusion couple, with β and/or γ' present as secondary phases. The model could also be combined with a database of critically assessed thermodynamic and kinetic data. The diffusion paths were predicted for several types of diffusion couple, and the simulated results were in general agreement with both experiment and theory.
