The non-activated motion of edge dislocations was investigated in crystals which were subjected to a load that consisted of triangular pulses. A comparison with previous results for less pure samples indicated that the motion of dislocations under these conditions was anomalous, in that a decrease in the impurity content resulted in shorter maximum travel distances for dislocations but had essentially no effect upon the dislocation velocity.
