Permeation through La0.9Ca0.11CrO3 was measured by using an electrochemical method under O potential gradients of between 10-13 and 1bar. The O vacancy diffusion coefficient was estimated to be equal to 1.5 x 10-11m2/s at O partial pressures of between 10-10 and 10-5bar. A contribution of grain boundary diffusion to permeation was considered, but it was concluded that bulk diffusion predominated in the presence of high O potential gradients.
