The effect of elemental substitution, in obtaining higher Li ion conductivities in perovskite-type oxides, was investigated for solid solutions of the form: La0.55Li0.35TiO3-KNb3, La0.55Li0.35TiO3-KTa3 and La0.55Li0.35-xKxTiO3. The results were explained in terms of the effects of lattice expansion, site percolation and local lattice distortion.
