It was shown that a theoretical treatment which had been developed in order to study the grain boundary diffusivity in anisotropic material could be exploited experimentally. The method was applied to bicrystalline samples of ice. The results showed that the diffusivity of the <10•0> 21 and <10•0> 90 boundaries depended upon the boundary inclination.
