A model was proposed for the meta-stabilization of photo-created dangling bonds in amorphous hydrogenated material. It was based upon the existence of freely mobile 5-fold coordinated Si atoms (floating bonds). Attention was paid to the contribution which negatively charged floating bonds made to light-induced electron spin resonance at low temperatures.
