Electron paramagnetic resonance and optical techniques were used to reveal photo-induced concentration changes in the paramagnetic and optical defects of X-irradiated single crystals of cubic stabilized material. The results indicated that the photo-induced annihilation of radiation-generated electron centers was not directly related to the decrease in paramagnetic hole centers. Consideration of the experimental data suggested the operation of more complex kinetics than had previously been assumed.
