A study was made of the electrotransport of H, in palladium hydride, by using neutron radiography. Electrotransport was used to concentrate H in metallic Pd. The effectiveness of electrotransport for H concentration was confirmed by the neutron radiography data. The content was increased up to 0.75 of the H/Pd ratio at 395K. This was equivalent to a H equilibrium pressure of 100MPa. On the basis of H profiles in electrotransported PdHx, the effective charge number of H in PdH0.75 was deduced to be 0.38.
