An analytical microscopic treatment was presented which was able to describe this process correctly under conditions which ranged from the adiabatic region to the isothermal region. It was shown that the relaxation motion of a single particle in the assembly was intrinsically non-Debye in nature and exhibited Kohlrausch-Williams-Watts behavior even in the absence of interactions between the mobile ions. This contradicted the view that an anomaly was caused by disorder and interaction.
