The structures of (¯11•4) twin boundaries in pure and doped -phase material were studied by means of high-resolution transmission electron microscopy and analytical electron microscopy. The boundaries were prepared by diffusion bonding. The atomic structure was determined for a projection parallel to [2¯1•0]. The interface structure of a Ca doped (¯11•4) boundary was also determined. The presence of Ca was detected at the interface.
