Lattice diffusivities were measured, at temperatures ranging from 140 to 230C, in (111) equi-atomic multi-layers with repeat distances of between 0.68 and 3.44nm. The data exhibited an Arrhenius temperature dependence over more than 15 orders of magnitude. It was suggested that the occurrence of short-range ordering inhibited interdiffusion at lower temperatures. This prevented the use of resistometric techniques.
