High-resolution transmission electron microscopic observations were made of a {10•1} twin boundary in the phase. Relaxed atomic models and simulations were used to investigate the atomic structure. It was found that the model structure which gave the best fit to experimentally observed images indicated that the twin interface was a simple flat atomic plane. The present results confirmed the twin structure which had been proposed on theoretical grounds.
