The Arrhenius parameters for the bulk diffusion of atoms of the first 3d elements in monocrystalline material were studied by means of secondary ion mass spectrometry. A new correlation was established between the activation enthalpies for the bulk diffusion of these 3d atoms, and the difference between their valences and that of the matrix.
